Every smart business is out there building relationships with clients and potential customers.

It seems to me, that there could be a different/tighter focus.

Yes. People have relationships with companies. If you ask someone where they get their hair done, or their car serviced, or who they call when the water pipes burst, they’ll emphatically answer with, “Brand X!”

That’s good for Brand X. They more than likely just gained another customer.

If you dig deeper, you’ll hear something like, “Talk to Joe. He’ll take really good care of you.” There’s usually a great story that goes along with it. An endorsement like that seals the deal.

It’s wonderful that those conversations are happening, But they happen too infrequently, confined to one-on-one or small group discussion, to have a big impact.

What if those conversations happened; that information lived; where the audience is much larger?

Humanizing Business. Building Relationships.

November 4, 2011

Gary Vaynerchuk was the keynote speaker at the Inc 500/5000 conference. He gave one of the most entertaining and, more importantly, most informative talks about doing business in 2011. He talks about the incredible value of social media as a tool (It’s only a tool!) for humanizing business. I talk a lot about ‘doing business [...]
